Lo, my patio is attached to my house on 3 sides with the roof extending over to top. Thanks for the kind comments.

Jomari, I guess stuck inside makes sense if one is truly stuck inside. I am stuck at my home which includes a yard and a patio which is attached to my house on 3 sides with the roof extending over it. Thanks for your kind comments about my blue jay.

SteveBee I had the camera set on auto iso. I checked the other shots from this same day and many had iso 200, but the ones of the mockingbird were 2000 and above. I was shooting in burst, but am not savvy enough to know if that affected the iso. I always shoot aperture priority with auto iso in burst mode for birds and most wild life.

Jade, I think people give preference to subjects that most interest them and not all photographers favor wildlife. Maybe a challenge for birds is needed. It is more difficult to vote when the challenge has an open subject though I always enter these and usually am judged in the middle.

Mepo, I think it was boredom rather than hunger. Since she was behind glass, couldn't test if she wanted a human meal.

AOC the only way to shoot a dragonfly to meet your specs is a dead one on a white piece of paper. 😜

These drops were left by the sprinkler system. I was stalking hummingbirds and butterflies when I spied them and thought of the challenge. Thanks everyone for the comments!

Thanks for your comments and votes. I shoot wildlife with spot focus and burst which means many deletes so I usually get some that I am satisfied with. I will try to flip this shot to see if the composition is better. Never thought of the fact the he was facing out of the frame until some of the comments.

Thanks all for your comments and votes. This little guy was calling for a mate in the tree across the alley from our back yard. He made many different sounds.. I was able to shoot with spot focus and burst. Many deletes. This is the way I handle wildlife.

Jade, I knew about your vote. A ham like me always checks the votes. Thanks for your comment and your vote. I value your opinion even if you do have a prejudice against rear views. I have a shot of a dragonfly that you should see. Very posterior.

Hey, Jade.. Next time I will either tell him to turn around and drop his lunch or I will walk across the lake and get him from the front.

SteveBee Actually these were glowing OOC. I took several shots of these two and they are all glowing. I went back to look at the originals to make sure. Did normal adjustments in camera raw.

I shot several of these 2 flowers and they all had that glowing quality. I will post the original raw if possible after voting.
