Good to see that you manage a moment to enter a photo! I was afraid work had swallowed you up. :-)

An interesting idea for solitude. Keep up the "outside-the-box" thinking. And try to enter more often if possible!

This is funny! And I did not know that Lego made bartender figures for kids to play with. Hmmmmm, interesting.

Creative idea.

I too missed the "solitude" in this one. I just watched the YouTube video you linked to. Quite bizarre! But at least I see your inspiration for your entry now!

I voted for this entry, but I agree with RobertLavker that it would have evoked more of a feeling of solitude without the fallen vase. The vase pushed it more toward desolation. Still a good find though. (Was the door open?)

I thought this was the most unique entry. I ranked it 7th. Kudos for trying something different! ... and by the way, not a hockey puck in sight!!! LOL.

Thanks for the comments and votes.

Jomari - the idea was to make the solitude of the scene the subject and minimize the presence of the person who happened to be there in the midst of it all.

Qixil- I used three exposures because much of this was in shadow, which caused the beautiful blue skies to get blown out to white, when metering around the focal point.

I'd like to see that there is a way to get to this place of solitude, like a boat or a pier, or a beach to enjoy it from. Beautiful colors, but not a fan of the items sticking out of the water.

I think I'd like this setting more with more light in the foreground. Fits the theme, and the sky is beautifully captured.

A peaceful-looking place, but the pose of the subject seems off. I am left wondering, "why is he wearing a backpack while fishing?" Did you consider cropping the top of the photo to remove the blue that appears above the overexposed reflection? I think it may enhance the feeling of solitude. Still in my favs.

The flash is so prominent here, I think it limits the feeling of solitude. Perhaps a less brightly lit tree would be more appropriate for the topic. The position of moon betwixt the branches is perfect.
