Darn, El, you are really good! I was at a family reunion the Friday and Saturday before Father's Day, and left Sunday morning. I was traveling
with family members and had no car during the little free time I had. :-(

Congrats on your double top ten finish and your narrow miss at winning. Maybe if you'd cut just one garlic clove ...... ?

Thanks for the votes and comments on my partial self-portrait. I had to strain to get what is left of my muscles to show up for the photo! LOL.

Wow! I wonder how it smelled? Seems like the cook got to enthused with making sure it was done. I smell badly burned meat! Certainly meets the theme. The background is very distracting, especially the sign. Did you try a different angle?

Really good focus, lighting, composition, and DOF. I'm sure she smells very nice, but the photo doesn't make me think of smell, scent, or aroma.

The lighting and focus are very good. I would suggest a slightly steeper angle to allow us to see more of what is in the pot. Some steam vapors would have been a great addition too! Yum!

The foreground and subject are just fine. The background leaves a bit to be desired. I think the folds of fabric are the point of issue for me. Still in my favs.

The more I look at this entry, the more it grows on me. I keep wanting to smell the flowers, then get distracted by traffic fumes. I find my self holding my breath. I don't know what reaction you were after, but at least you aroused my sense of smell - or more accurately, my sense of trying to avoid one smell and experience another. Very interesting result, psychologically!!!

A late addition to my favs! Now, where to put it?

Did you make this scene just for the challenge, or is this a real horse poo stand? Either way, I like the photo! Just where does one leave the funds? High in my favs!

Lovely, focus, lighting, and color. I thin there is bit too much negative space at the top. Perhaps a square was not the best format with which to present this one.

Quite lovely and calming scene. The small array of flowers is a bit overwhelmed by their surroundings. Perhaps a tighter view of the flowers would have brought the sense of smell more to mind.

I've never seen this much red in a blossom. It looks like the petals, stamen, the and the pistil are all red. Perhaps more contrast would have made it a bit easier to distinguish the different parts and slight variances of in hue.

I love the capturing of the patterns of water, whiskers, and fur. The composition looks a bit grainy and/or cloudy. Still my #2 choice!
Great timing!
