What a fine debut return in a challenging field (and sounds like you have a fine husband, too!). Hope you try to stay in for the next few Challenges. Would love to see more of your stuff.

Thanks everyone! My husband gets some credit for telling me to go outside to see the butterfly!

Fantastic capture. I guess the wide aperture cost you a bit of focus on the left wing. The colours on the butterfly are beautiful. In my t5 in a hard field. Dougster - Is this what you do when you are not playing Sudoku?

Beautiful find! The right wing seems a bit subdued, but in my TT.

Beautiful shot of the swallowtail , nice composition, like the background flower, in my top 5.

Normally I prefer the head facing the camera but for this extraordinary beauty, this view works well enough to make this in my TF. Nice composition, great sharpness and colour, this is a superior effort though the damaged "tail" does hurt the shot somewhat.
