Very nice, Roland! This has a lot of appeal, and DOF is wonderful. Not surprised that it took third place... congrats!

You've been consistently ranking in the top ten for a while now (with one exception). I sure hope this means you'll be here for the next challenge - I'd love to see what you come up with!

The colours of the vegetation are really warm - an interesting contrast to the cooler colours of the hills.

I like the path and the colors a lot. I think maybe backing off on the structure of the grasses toward the sides of the path and the dirt would help make the path stand out. Remember you have a lot of control with Nik because of the control point technology.

Love the composition but would prefer less processing. In my favourites.

I confess to not liking NIK effects much but putting that aside you've done a nice job with the composition and framing here.

To me, two things spoil the otherwise high quality of this image: the blue tarp is distracting (but one of those things that the photographer, unfortunately, has no control over); the other is that this image is a bit too tone contrasted for my tastes (which the photographer can control). Still, it is one of my favorites.

the picture would take a crop of the top and lose the mountain and colours in the houses

Like the composition and looks great in thumbnail. Full size seems processed too much.

Very inviting subject. Full of delicious earthy textures. Nicely centrally composed. Leaning a bit much to the left for my taste, but still lovely.
