I am always ready for street photography, but as with this shot, it's just the right place-right time.

Quite a commentary, Bill! I assume you didn't go out with this kind of shot in mind, did you?

Hi Bill. I think I got your point and you did it very well. What I was trying to suggest was the viewer wouldn't be engaged, so perversely I figured this wouldn't score well because it was such a good shot in achieving that point exactly! (Always enjoy your perspective and photos.)

Very depressing but wholly truthful comment. The timing of this shot, and the resultant composition are a reflection of your skill. The pp is dead on and adds to the atmosphere. Super shot. Kudos.

I wonder if they are all communicating with each other. Talking is definitely not as popular as it used to be. Good photo, and good choice of B+W.

An excellent street capture of the new age! I find myself wanting a little more separation between the 2 men. Your image does depict a message. Well Done!

An excellent comment on our preoccupation with cell phones. B&W is a good choice

so true. i thought the infatuation with these things had slowed up but now i'm seeing an older generation embracing them as they are more or less forced to upgrade when an old phone dies. me, i'm happy with my old flip phone. great entry!

    Hi Jade,
"I don't find the subjects engaging." That's kind of the point. It's all 'flat'.

I can't decide if this a a sad or funny commentary on our "millennium" generation, but well captured!

Interesting since you have actively captured how disengaged individuals can be with each other; unfortunately you've done too well; I don't find the subjects engaging.
