Post-Processing:
Processed from raw in LR. Decreased highlights and increased shadows. Cloned out small distractions on the right edge.
Extra Info:
I was struck by the colors and character of this antique tractor (1930's vintage) while out for a ride in the country. From a low perspective the brilliant blue sky provides a nice background. The fence and clouds lines lead to the tractor. Notice the hand crank for starting the engine.

This is a lovely old machine and it looks like it still might be in use. The angle you have chosen is just right with the beautiful blue sky behind and the lovely detail in the grass.

Nice angle and great colors. Lucky for you to come across this.

Another shot where the low angle makes a much better image. The important thing to remember when using a hand crack is to wrap your thumb on the same side as your fingers.

That is a great point of view, making the tractor the indisputable star. The red really pops against the sky. My number 1 pick.

Good photos require good subjects. This has interest in spades and the setting framing and composition are all nicely done...if anything I would have rid the image of the house and hydro pole in the background which I find distracting. .. my No. 2 vote.

Babysister: Just my my thoughts about what I saw and why I composed this way. Feel free to ignore. Critiques of the image itself are welcome.

It is a very nice photo and in my top picks but I do not need a lesson on what to see in the photo!

Great idea for the theme. I like this image for all of the reasons that you stated in the notes. Great job.
