Canon PowerShot S3 IS       18th place, 74 points
1/59s, f4.5, ?, 454mm, ?, Pattern, no flash
Post-Processing: Layers, Hue/Saturation, Selective color, clone out sprinkers and other background distractions, some dodging/burning. Used Virtual Photographer's Romantic filter.       Extra Info: This little guy ran by the bedroom window one morning. He's been hanging around the neighborhood the last couple of months, usually coming out in the early twilight. This was only my third sighting and the first time the lighting conditions were good enough.

Thanks for the link. I'm a PP junkie so I'll have to give these a try :-) Thought this one deserved a MUCH higher place.

This is so unique. I really think you should have placed higher with such a wonderfully perfect wildlife photo! Amazing really!

Thanks to all who took the time to comment and vote.

goodjohn: Virtual Photographer is a set of filters for Photoshop. You can get it here (I think it's a free download): http://www.optikvervelabs.com/

Maike13: You made me LAUGH!!

Old Finn: You should have seen it BEFORE I desaturated!!!

Beautiful fox, i like the colors and i wonder what is the 'Virtual Photographer's Romantic filter.' but i can see it worked well on a fox, so i suppose it will work as well on a girl portrait!
Very good job, Good luck!

Great to get a pic of such a wild animal. Well composed, but to my eyes the saturation is some too strong.

What a beautiful animal and a really fantastic capture. I don't think this could have come out any better if you'd paid the fox to pose for you :-)

Something about the colors in this one feel like a Disney movie. LOL I think you did a good job. I'd love to know how much you dodged and burned. Maybe that is what gives it the movie set feel?

Wow, I'm amazed you were able to capture wildlife so clearly with such a low shutter speed. kudos. In my TT.

This is such a great capture. I know how difficult it is to capture wildlife and you have done an amazing job. Excellent colors, excellent composition, excellent in every way. My Number 1 fav! Good Luck! (I did tell you how much I like it?) :-)
