    Hi everyone,
thank you very much for your votes and your nice comments.

Thanks Linda. I'm happy you liked it so much. This challenge was tough - and a big fun!

Franz, I thought this would get a TT place for sure! Your 'confession' about the bottles made me laugh! Knowing they were so small only serves to make me even more impressed with your shot :)

It's getting late here and I would like to answer on some comments before the voting ends:
Jade O., thanks for your nice comment. I'm always happy and eased to get an appreciative comment from you.
ThingFish, Lo, Mepo, slieb25, thank you very much for your nice words.

Leanne, wow! Thanks a lot. Great to hear from you!
Una, thanks. Yes, I was on my knees for this shot ;-)

Rafael, oh many thanks! The picture was supposed to be funny. As a non native English speaker I was always sure that this was a funny song. Your explanations here and in the forum made me brooding about that... :-)

And finally Linda, your question discloses my whole cheating! ;-)
These are no milk bottles. And the delivery service is not common here in Germany - sadly. The bottles are actually spice glasses (found no other translation), only 10 centimeter tall. Had to find a good angle to make them look like big bottles. Sorry but I had no other equipment...

Hi Billy, yes you are right. I felt exactly the same. Comparing it to the other pictures in the "all entries" list, made me think it was too dark (again), or not colorful enough...
And these awful cement blocks in the background. Yes Mepo, another loss.
But believe me, I tried brightening, saturation and boosting the contrast. This always made it look "strange" and unnatural.
Using another background (posing the bottles before the blue sky) took away the authentic look...
Finally I decided to enter it as is! It still fits the song, I believe. The song was in my mind from the first moment I read the challenges theme. I just searched for a way to bring this great childhood memory to the challenge.

Didn't knew the song, but I happen to like it :-) very original song and pic for the theme, a nice idea!
Perhaps the pic needs a little more "punch", don't know how, maybe an extra contrast touch... but that is not a great fault and your pic goes to my T5, due to originality and nice composition and setting up, well done!

and the cat made a mess, LOL. The look of the spilled milk on the rock reminds me of rocks in a stream, nicely done.

Good shot. I love the milk bottles and I especially like the milky footprints. Nice interpretation of the song. I don't like the cement blocks but am guessing you had no choice.

A wonderful picture, a great match to the song, in my TT! (Did you lie on the floor?)

The funniest shot in the challenge. Funny in a clever/interesting way. I have not looked up the lyrics but my memory of the song is that "there is no milk today because my lover has gone away (?)". This deconstructs that young man angst and turns it into a bit of middle aged whimsy. Love it. Technically the shot is also very well executed and composed. High TT for me.

I remember the song well! I like this shot. It's nicely composed and very clear, with good detail, sharpness and exposure, and it fits the song title very well.

BTW, I've never seen milk bottles like those. Where was it taken?

Love the paw marks leaving the scene of the crime - Nice take on the song title

Clever idea to illustrate the song title and nicely executed.

A nice study in contract and textures, nicely matched to a song, and a decent composition.
