Well done - the patterns just jump out.

Thanks for your votes and comments. The sky was a deep blue on that day. I also adjusted the levels to make it darker.

Kudos on your top 5 finish. Did you darken the sky after converting to monochrome? Just wondering...

B&W works in this lines and patterns dominated comp. A little horizontal transform would really help with the alignment. But this is spot on with the theme! I notice the sky is quite dark, is this somehow an IR B&W?

I like the stark, high contrast look. Good pov.

Nicely composed shot, and the simplicity and strong contrast are quite appealing. Not sure that looking up at multi-story building is that different a perspective.

Great idea for the challenge. Very nice contrast and play with shadows. Not easy to rotate it without breaking the effect of the upwards directed lines.
I love the sloppy curtain!

Terrific use of perspective to show off the architectural details of this building. Monochrome and high contrast were a perfect choice.

I like the contrast of tones, and the contrast between the straight edges and the folds of the curtain.

Love all the repetition and that you left the upper third of the frame empty (black).

A good choice of structure to use this technique on.

The dark sky adds drama. Lots of nice lines and geometry.
