As you say, this may be a common sight for you, but someone like me is quite unable to follow the thread (ha ha) of what going on here, so it fits the theme well as an unusual and interesting perspective. I do wish that the black spot on the left weren't there, however.

Beautiful use of DOF to focus on the hook and threads, while creating a blurred but colourful background. Excellent composition.

Interesting image.
Great composition, engaging picture. Nice autumnal colour range.
My only minor quibble would be the background - there's a couple of dark marks in the background that could have been cloned out to avoid distraction.

I really like this, great use of DOF and choice of colors. Really nice composition and perspective. Please show us some of the finish items in the outtakes :-) One small nit, the little dark spot to the lower left should be cloned out.
