Thank you all very much for your votes and comments, and especially many thanks for the kind words about my daughter!

How can you go wrong with a subject like this. The whole story is there. No comment needed. In my TT.

The eyes! Wow. --- I think it would have still worked if you'd have cropped it more so that the face would have filled the frame completey. (edited Aug 10th: It does fit the theme, as we know now.)

Cute as a button, wonderfully framed, close enough to full frame to qualify well as fitting the challenge. The big draw are those incredible eyes and yet paradoxically, I find they hurt the image in two ways. Firstly, there is competition between the eyes and the chocolate mouth for the viewer's attention; a clean face would have focused attention on the eyes alone. Secondly, the eyes, for all their obviously captivating glory are dead. Not a twinkle or sparkle to be found; the expression is there but the eyes do not reveal it. Here is where that side light better placed or a longer shutter at a higher f-stop might have allowed more light into those gorgeous eyes which rather than reveal the child within are presented as black orbs which merely reflect the life which is going on behind the photographer, in the outer world. Those eyes should be the window to that inner world and they are the whole of the photograph.

This definitely worthy of my TT, boy have I seen a face like that in my house many times. Brings back some memories of my oldest daughter when she was younger, she is an ice creamholic.

Great photo. This is one you can save to show to her boyfriends when she's old enough :-)

I had to make this a favourite. I have a similar shot of my daughter at a similar age with a similar look.

Beyond that though those eyes are captivating and show the benefit of getting in close and filling the frame.
