@Jomari The chess set belongs to my son but luckily for me some of his things are being stored at my place so I was able to 'borrow' it :) Glad it brought back good memories of your father:)

Yes I was concerned about whether the tiny symbols would show up so placed them all towards the camera and tried to get as much light catching on them as possible. Despite that I can appreciate that they don't really stand out.

Hi Jade. Yes I'm a bit older than 30 😀 My daughter is 32, son 29, and I was in my 30's when I had them. I guess it was a bit misleading of me to call myself Garden 'Girl' but at the moment of joining I couldn't think of anything else. Happy Christmas & all the best for the New Year. 🙂 |

The negative space and neutral background work well. It makes the leaf look even more 'alone'. Our new site will be like the next Spring bringing back the new leaves. |

@kerszkavet I used a light tracing board sitting on a box on the floor then set my camera and 90mm macro lens on the tripod with camera pointing straight down. Used mirror lock up & trigger release to prevent camera shake. |
