It seems strange in the northern hemisphere seeing winter scenes in July. Lovely capture of the spider's web around the bud.

Love the contrast of colours. The male lizard with the background, whilst the female lizard with the pole.

This is great in so many ways - the flower, the hint of a green spike behind and then the bumble just finishes it off spectacularly

Low shots of flowers are always great, even more so with a deep blue sky.

Moon related images are so great for getting silhouettes. Even though there is a bit of sun, this moon illuminated image is a stand-on entry. My Number 1.

This ticks so many boxes. A great silhouette, great reflections and wonderful colours. This could be entered into so many categories and would be the stand out image.

What a great view. I am curious as to where this is? Peak District?

A grabbed shot from the safari vehicle with indifferent suspension. Canon EOS 60D with a Tamron 18-270 lens, IS enabled.

I had made a concious decision to leave the bush. I wish there had been less breeze as I would have preferred the reflection in water.

Not only meets the criteria, but is a great capture with the raptor on top of the pole.

Thanks to all those who voted for my image.

A grelim has got into the system, this picture was in fact taken with my new Canon 60D - the exif info got lost when I resized the image, resulting in me needing to submit a larger image with the exif info.

Not sure cloning out a distraction when the topic was abandoned was a good idea - it could have added to the sense of abandonment.

Thank for the vote and comments. This shot was taken at around 06:45 in the morning, after a week of misty mornings. When I took it (much like the street scene - sheep in Iona - last year) I did not have the challenge in mind, however when I saw the challenge, the picture shouted out to me as a potential entry.

I am envious of this shot. Getting the sun in the right place - and the weather allowing a clear sky - has produced a great composition.

Great capture - birds on the wing are difficult to get at the best of times.

Thanks to all those who commented and voted on my picture. Very opportunistic shot, the morning after I found about the challenge.

Upon reflection, I am not happy with the crop - would have prefered to have less foreground and slightly more above the group behind the sheep.
